M42: The Orion Nebula, D200

M42: The Orion Nebula, D200
My very first (poor) attempt at astrophotography. This is M42: The great Orion Nebula through an LX200R (2500mm F/11), a single shot with my Nikon D200, 30", ISO 1600 The photo is noise heavy and slighly out of focus :( Not bad for a first attempt.

WOW : I captured Venus on a pocket digital and was happy, you found nebulae, stunning stuff. Try and get a shot of the Carina Nebulae and I will buy it from you, unless of course I have an image from hubble that's better ; p

serious though, this is an amazing image to capture with a Nikon - respect due
pretty sick man...wild to see what you can reach with one of those things. I like it
[this is good]
